CRS students explore the power of science
Fourth-graders in Mary Jane Preston's class at Chestnut Ridge Elementary School stayed after-school to celebrate Super Science Night. Together with parent volunteers, their teacher and the elementary enrichment coordinator Cassandra King, the students performed two hands-on science experiments. During the first experiment the students learned to complete a circuit to power a light bulb and in the second experiment the students worked with a control, made a hypotheses and reached a conclusion while testing different types of bubble bath products. And just for fun the students used a hand held generator to make electricity. Here, Meghan Woodruff shows off her completed circuit.
