Holley students learn about shadows in a STARLAB
BOCES 2 Elementary Science Program resource teacher Fred Arnold shows Holley kindergarteners what needs to be present to make a shadow and how a shadow's shape can be changed. The program, entitled "Sunshine, Shadows and Silhouettes," takes place in a STARLAB, which is a portable planetarium that uses a light bulb as the sun. Students had fun using animal puppets and their hands to make their own shadows. Shown are (l-r) Nikki Siplo, Ricci Shenck and Bradley Moore from Linda Hurd's class.
