Margaret Sheldon Welch marks 100th birthday

Margaret Sheldon Welch noted her 100th birthday with a celebration at Lakeside Beikirch Care Center on January 31. Margaret was born January 31, 1904 to parents Willard and Elsie Case. She married George Sheldon when she was 19 years old, and they were married for 31 years, until George died suddenly at age 56. They had four children: Douglas (deceased), Joseph and George of Florida and Leona Hankinson of Hamlin. Margaret has many grandchildren and great grandchildren. After her husband's death, she married Arthur Welch in 1958. Arthur died in 1974. Margaret was an active member of the Eastern Star until she entered the nursing home six years ago.
