Tom Vandertang remembered in Ogden

A dedication ceremony was held at the Ogden Senior Center on February 20 in memory of Ogden Councilman Tom Vandertang. A plaque bearing his name was installed on the porch, which was the councilman's last project before he died in 2003. The Vandertang family, the Senior Center Advisory Board and about 50 seniors were in attendance for the dedication. Ogden Supervisor Gay Lenhard and Nutrition Coordinator Marilyn Burley spoke of Mr. Vandertang's countless hours spent, as well as his love for, and dedication to the seniors and the Ogden Senior Center.
