Yesterdays Youngsters hosts folk music performer
On March 25, the Yesterdays Youngsters of the Sweden Senior Center hosts a musical program featuring Sue Hengelsberg.
Hengelsberg is a musician with over 30 years of experience presenting programs of folk music and stories for audiences of all ages. Sue plays guitar, banjo, mountain dulcimer, bowed psaltery, 1860s vintage hammered dulcimer and assorted oddities. She is also a gifted singer, performing traditional folksongs and tunes, original songs about local history and newer songs in the folk style. Her programs are customized for each occasion, location and audience. She encourages participation with singing, working puppets and playing simple instruments.
Following dinner and a brief business meeting, the program will begin at approximately 6:45 p.m. Those who cannot join the group for dinner are welcome to attend the program which is open to all ages.
The Sweden Senior Center is located at 133 State St., Brockport.
