Spencerport athletes qualify for scholar awards
Five Spencerport winter athletic teams qualified for the NYSPHSAA Team Scholar Athlete Award during the 2004 season. In order to qualify, a team must have a team grade point average of 90 percent or above.
The teams that qualified, their grade point average and coach were:
Girls Basketball - 92.962 - Mark Moon; Girls Volleyball - 92.075 - Mike Zeman; Girls Indoor Track - 91.469 - Josh Reynolds; Wrestling - 91.363 - William Jacoutot; Ice Hockey - 91.228 - Tom Donnelly.
Girls Indoor Track student-athletes who qualified for this award are as follows: Laura Uschold, Amanda Ritzel, Sarah Deegan, Kara Farnsworth, Jennifer Katz, Christina Mangione, Sarah Skelly, Heather Fisher, Alicia Stadtmiller, Jacque Moyer, Karina Spicer and Erin Fox.
Girls Basketball student-athletes who qualified for this award are as follows: Regina Martuscello, Andrea Kazmierski, Jenna King, Kacey Pratt, Kellie Ricker, Shannon Elliott and Danielle Beilman.
Girls Volleyball student-athletes who qualified for this award are as follows: Lauren Parkhurst, Jessica Bartock, Caitlin O'Brien, Kelly Schweikert, Laura Stultz, Marina Pavone, Rebecca Scroger, Karen Stevens and Jessica Roth.
