Brockport Kiwanis members met with representatives from the Brockport High School's Varsity Club at their March 24 meeting. President Tory Spencer and secretary Julia Little, along with faculty co-advisors Judy Jones and Mike Myers, discussed the upcoming April 24 Senior Citizens' Prom. The Brockport High School's Varsity Club participates in various community service projects and this will be the 9th year they will have sponsored an annual dance for Brockport senior citizens. And it will be the 8th year the Brockport Kiwanis has financially supported this local endeavor. This year's Prom will feature the Gates Swingers with live vocalists and a 16-piece band. Approximately 60-90 varsity club members will be present to dance with the seniors at the senior center. Alan Bader, Kiwanis Club President, presented senior Tory Spencer with a check to continue the Kiwanis club's long-standing financial support for the Senior Citizens' Prom. |
