Learn about energy efficient lighting for the home
About 15 percent of the average lighting bill is spent just on lighting a home. Learn ways to save money by using energy efficient lighting at an Energy Town Meeting on May 19, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County.
Learn the basics of energy-efficient lighting; what lights are recommended for various rooms and applications; and the positive impact on the environment. For instance, if a person replaced the five most used light bulbs in their home with Energy Star® bulbs, they could save about $50 a year.
This is the first in a series of Energy Town Meetings that will take place at Cornell Cooperative Extension, 249 Highland Avenue in Rochester, in cooperation with the New York Energy Smart program. To register for this free program, call 461-1000, ext. 0.
