Hilton schools offer Meet the Candidates Night May 5

Three positions on the Hilton Board of Education will be filled at the May 18 Budget Vote and Board Election: two three-year terms of David Fisher and Ted Welch and one three-year term which is currently being filled by appointee Steve Beauvais following the resignation of Dale Beehler from the board in July 2003.

Three candidates have filed petitions: Steve Beauvais, 11 Albano Drive, Hilton; Barbara Cutrona, 817 Macintosh Drive, Greece; and incumbent Ted Welch, 109 Underwood Avenue, Hilton. Incumbent and current Board President David Fisher did not submit a petition. A "Meet the Candidates Night" will be held Wednesday, May 5 at 7 p.m. in the board meeting room of the Quest/West Avenue School, 225 West Avenue, Hilton. The candidates will answer prepared questions as well as take questions from the audience. The community is invited to attend.

Board members are elected to serve three-year terms and serve voluntarily. Candidates for the Board of Education are district residents for at least one year prior to the election and qualified voters (age 18). For information: call District Clerk Patricia Unterborn at 392-1000 ext. 7099.
