Chili Fire Department to host Jaws of Life competition

On May 15 and 16, the Chili Fire Department will host a "Jaws of Life" competition at Company #1, 3231 Chili Avenue. The competition will feature 13 teams from the northeast region of the United States and parts of Canada. The fire rescue teams will demonstrate and train on their skills extricating victims from simulated car accidents using the jaws of life and many other tools and equipment. Each team will be judged and scored. Monroe County teams will include: Chili FD, Brockport FD, and Webster FD.

Admission is free and the event runs from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Everyone is welcome to attend.
