Churchville-Chili Board of Education
revises estimated tax rate
Due to a change in estimated tax assessments from area towns, the Churchville-Chili Board of Education has revised the estimated tax rate to 3.34 percent for the proposed 2004-2005 school budget. This is a change from the previous estimated tax rate of 4.28 percent. This change will result in a reduction of property taxes from the previous estimate. The proposed school budget total of $55,577,308 reflects a 5.52 percent spending increase over the current budget, according to information submitted by the district.
District residents may cast their vote on the proposed budget on Tuesday, May 18 from noon to 9 p.m. at Churchville-Chili Intermediate School Gym.
Residents will vote on two resolutions. Voters will decide whether to approve the proposed budget of $55,577,308 as presented by the Churchville-Chili Board of Education for the 2004-2005 school year.
