Bergen senior programs at Gillam-Grant Center
Gillam-Grant Center in Bergen has scheduled the following senior citizen noon meals and programs for the month of May:
- May 7 - Meatloaf - Peggy Denton, Bergen Historian will speak on Bergen Businesses of the 1800s.
- May 11 - Baked fish - "Oh My Aching Back" with Dr. Amy Mercovich.
- May 14 - Beef stew with biscuit - "Maintaining Strong Bones" with Barbara L. Stein.
- May 18 - Split Pea Soup and Ham Sandwich - Gail Culver, Cornell Cooperative Extension will give a demonstration on Hypertufa Gardening. Blood Pressures will be taken by UMMC - 10 a.m. to noon.
- May 21 - Baked Hamburg and Macaroni - The "Singing Silhouettes" with Kathy White from Byron-Bergen High will perform.
- May 25 - Penne Pasta/Meatball/Sauce - Movie/Book Review by Chris Perrin.
- May 28 - Chicken and Biscuit - Birthday salute - Guitar and Song with Chris Caryk. Euchre is played - 10 a.m. to noon.
Noon meals cost $2.50 and reservations need to be made one day in advance. The programs start at 12:25 p.m., and those planning to attend are asked to call 494-1621.
