Bright Raven gymnast Kara Golis of Churchville earned first place all around at the USAG Sectional Meet held in Orchard Park May 1 with a high score of 36.95. Kara and her teammates competed in the Level 6 competition for gymnasts age 12 and over. Kara Golis also earned a first place in floor exercise (9.325), first place on balance beam (9.50) and third place on vaulting (9.20). Teammate Erin Kolb of Chili took third all around (36.25) and third on floor (9.20). Allison Grove of Chili took second place on bars (9.075) and Emily Gutkneckt of Rochester was second on beam (9.40). Amanda Arcieri of Chili was sixth all around (35.125). In the Level 5 competition for gymnasts ages 7-8, Emily Thomas of Conesus earned first place in floor exercise competition (9.40). |
