Kendall Schools ranked tops
in Orleans County by Buffalo newspaper

Kendall Central School District has placed first in Orleans County and in the top third of all school districts in an eight-county region based on a ranking by Buffalo's "Business First" newspaper.

"Business First" graded 97 public school systems in the eight-county region. Each district rating is based on the following collective statistics: 40 percent on the results of nine elementary and middle school assessments; 50 percent on the results of 12 high school Regents exams; and ten percent on the number of students receiving Regents diplomas.

In 2002, "Business First" ranked the Kendall School District 42 out of 97 districts. In 2003, Kendall was ranked 41 out of 97 districts, and this year, Kendall ranked 27 out of 97 districts.
