Spencerport School District
to conduct annual census in June
The Spencerport Central School District will conduct its annual census of all children residing within the district's four towns during June. State law requires that a census be maintained for children from birth through age 18, and through age 21 for children with disabilities.
The individual census form with family information will be sent home with students in kindergarten through 8th grade. Families with students in high school and families who have students attending non-public schools will receive their forms in the mail. All other district residents also will receive census forms in the mail.
All residents are urged to return the census form with any necessary correction or addition within three days after receiving it, even if there are no changes in family circumstances or no children living in the home. Any household not returning a census form from the original mailing(s) will be visited by a census taker one evening during the last two weeks of July or the first two weeks of August.
