Tributary 3 work to progress

Before the end of the 2004 construction season, it is likely that the work on Brockport's Tributary 3 will be complete.

Mayor Josephine Matela said she and the board intend to fully cooperate with remediation plans offered by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and GE to ensure that the pipe is removed and the area is taken care of this construction season.

"There has been concern by residents and by people who don't even live in the village as to what our stand is on getting this remediation taken care of," Matela said. "Our position is that we don't want to delay this remediation in any way."

The clean up project is part of an on-going clean up undertaking at the former 3M/Dynacolor Brockport facility.
