Brockport sets summer meeting schedule

Village of Brockport officials remind residents that the board meets only once per month in June, July and August. The meetings will be held at 7 p.m. on June 21, July 19 and August 16. A public hearing is scheduled for the June 21 meeting at which time the village will consider an amendment to its village code regarding open burning. Information will be available on that code at the village hall after June 7.

The police department reported at the May 18 meeting it has responded to 5,677 calls for service year to date. The fire department has responded to 304 and the ambulance, 627.

A reception will be held for retiring village treasurer, Scott Rightmyer, from 2 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 27 at the village hall.
