Exploring the
inside of an artery
Kendall eighth-graders Crystal and Devin Washington had a blast exploring a model of an artery during a recent visit to the Rochester Museum and Science Center's Body Carnival exhibit. Students also visited the fast ferry at the Port of Rochester and wrote an article about their first impressions of the ferry and fun things to do in Rochester for the "Port of Rochester" newsletter. The newsletter can be viewed by logging on to www.portofrochester.com and clicking on "June 2004 newsletter." Later in the week, classes toured Genesee Country Museum for a taste of life in the 19th century. The week of events paralleled a trip to Boston that other eight-graders took.
