Traffic advisory issued for Route 19 from Canal in Brockport to Route 18 in Hamlin

NYSDOT Highway maintenance forces is working on a project to mill and repave Route 19 in the Village of Brockport, Monroe County, between the Erie Canal Lift Bridge and West Avenue. The road work is expected to be completed by Friday, June 18 or earlier. Crews will generally work between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and conclude before the evening rush hour. Flaggers will direct traffic through one-way alternating traffic patterns in a single lane.

In addition, a paving crew will begin working on route 19 between West Avenue and Route 18 beginning next Tuesday, June 15, weather permitting. This crew will be working generally between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. This project is expected to take about a week.

Motorists should drive with caution through the work zone, obey the flagger and be prepared to stop, according to the NYSDOT.
