Brownie Troop 977 donates quilts to newborns

Brown Troop 977, part of the Girl Scout Brockport Service Unit, presented nurses in Lakeside's Obstetrics Department with a donation of quilts. These quilts will be donated to babies born at Lakeside. Two crib sized quilts were hand sewn with special hypoallergenic materials that will not harm the babies in any way. Members of Brownie Troop 977 are second graders. Upon completing the winter project, the girls earned their Stitch-It-Together badge. Troop leader Laura Becker said the scouts learned good citizenship and had fun making and presenting their quilts.
