Nesbitt receives multiple endorsements
Assemblyman Charles H. Nesbitt (R-C-I Albion) reports he has received official notice that he has obtained the endorsement of several major political parties. He has been informed of the support of the Republican, Conservative, and Independence parties throughout his district. Petitions are currently being circulated on his behalf in Genesee, Monroe, Niagara and Orleans Counties.
"I thoroughly enjoy representing the 139th Assembly District and appreciate the support given to me by Republican, Conservative, and Independence Committee members throughout the district," stated Nesbitt. "While much remains to be done, I have consistently fought hard for such things as: job development; lower taxes and improved business climate; agricultural interests; budget reform; and a fair share of funding for Western New York. We are making gains toward this agenda and it is a great honor to have those efforts recognized and be asked by these three major political parties to continue my efforts on behalf of the residents of the 139th Assembly District," Nesbitt said in a press release.
Assemblyman Nesbitt was elected as the New York State Republican Leader on March 25, 2002 and upon re-election currently serves in this capacity. As leader, Nesbitt makes appointments to all standing committees, and serves as ranking member of the rules committee.
