opens at Arrowhead Golf Course At a ribbon-cutting ceremony held on Tuesday, June 22, the Town of Ogden celebrated their new boat launch and outrigger canoe. Those participating included (left to right) County Parks Director Frank Alkofer, County Executive Maggie Brooks, Ogden Parks & Recreation Director Eric Bacon, Ogden Supervisor Gay Lenhard, Sweden Supervisor Buddy Lester, along with Peggy and Dale Wohlers, owners of Arrowhead. In a press release, Supervisor Lenhard said that this was a great facility for all west side residents and indicated that this was a great example of intermunicipal cooperation with a local business. Funds for this project were provided through a Monroe County Community Block Grant. Permits for the boat launch are available at the Parks & Recreation Department in the Ogden Community Center. Outrigger canoeing classes are also available through this same department. |
