retirement reception June 27
Spencerport's Trinity Lutheran Church Pastor Charles Alspaugh will retire Sunday, June 27. There will be two worship services that Sunday at the church, 191 Nichols Street (Rt. 31), Spencerport. A retirement reception will follow from noon to 5 p.m. to celebrate Pastor Alspaugh's years of ministry and service.
Pastor Alspaugh's many years of service spanned across the country from Long Island to Alaska. Guests from across the country plan to attend the celebration.
Rev. Charles (Charlie) and Donna came to Spencerport and Trinity Lutheran Church after serving 24 years in the Pacific Northwest with congregations in Idaho, Alaska, Oregon and Washington. Prior to that, he also served congregations in Colorado and California.
As part of his pastoral ministry, Pastor Alspaugh has been a leader in continuing education workshops. He also served in many community service positions.
Rev. Alspaugh and his wife have one son, one daughter and six grandchildren. Retirement will give them the opportunity to enjoy time with family and friends.
