Students receive scholarships from Chili church

Tim Boerschlein, Rorie DePaul, Stephanie Faatz and Brendan Leahy were recognized as this year's recipients of the John and Eda Reinhardt scholarships. The scholarship fund was established in 1992 by Eda Reinhardt and the $1000 scholarships are available to qualifying young men and women who are part of the church family. Selection is based primarily on academic performance in high school with consideration also given to contributions in extracurricular school activity, community service and church involvement. Twenty-nine scholarships have been awarded through the First Presbyterian Church of Chili. Boerschlein and DePaul graduated from Churchville-Chili Central School, Faatz from Caledonia-Mumford and Leahy from Gates Chili. Faatz and DePaul will attend SUNY Fredonia, Boerschlein will attend Alfred State and Leahy will be attending SUNY Geneseo. (l-r) Brendan Leahy, Stephanie Faatz, Rorie DePaul and Tim Boerschlein.
