Hilton-Parma FD and Holley receive grant funds
The Hilton-Parma Fire District and the Village of Holley were recipients of grant funds aimed at assisting them with management of their historic documents and records.
The grant awards, $6,450 and $4,485 respectively, were announced by Assemblyman Charles Nesbitt.
"Localities across the state process millions of documents every year," Nesbitt said. "These grants will go a long way in helping local government manage their records and protect other documents that have a historical significance."
The grants are administered by the New York State Local Government Records Management Improvement Fund in conjunction with the New York State Archives. Funding is used to support management of active and inactive records, microfilm, historical records and for projects in inventory and planning.
