Photos sought for community calendar

The Spencerport Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking photographs for their 2005 Community Calendar. The theme is "My Hometown." This includes area landmarks, photos of people at work in the Spencerport area whether at their jobs, in their homes, in their gardens or on volunteer and community events. Photos of adults playing sports or playing with their children as well as historical photos of people and places in the Spencerport area that will fit the theme of My Hometown are welcome. No pet photos this year, please.

Photos submitted must be black and white or color prints. Digital photos will be accepted on a three and one-quarter inch disk in jpeg format. Prints and disks will be returned. Include your name, address, phone number, e-mail address and a brief description, including names of people pictured in the submitted photo. Photos will be selected based on content, photographic quality, suitability to the theme and originality.

Drop your photos off in Spencerport at The Unique Shop, 130 South Union Street or mail them to: Don Lenhard, 254 South Union Street, Spencerport. Photos must be received by August 31.
