The Chili Senior Center Chain Gang donated baskets of goodies for the new moms at Lakeside to help welcome their newborns and celebrate the happy occasion. Fifteen baskets were donated, each containing a hand crocheted blanket, toy and various infant products. According to the ladies of the Chili Senior Center, "these baskets were created with a whole lot of love." Donna Dupont, obstetrics supervisor said, "Childbirth is a very exciting event and our moms and families certainly appreciate the time and care that goes into each basket." The Chain Gang started two years ago and has been donating gift baskets to Lakeside for the past year. Members of the Chain Gang say they enjoy working together on the projects but mostly enjoy seeing the joy their donations bring to the community. |
