GCC offers health care scholarships

Area residents who are children or parents of Genesee Community College alumni and who are interested in entering a health care field are invited to apply for Health Care Legacy scholarships. The scholarships provide $500 to help defray tuition and other costs of any of Genesee's four health care programs: Nursing, Repiratory Care, Occupational Therapy Assistant, and Physical Therapist Assistant.

Prospective students can complete the application for Health Care Legacy scholarships and other scholarships at www.genesee.edu. Applications are also available at the college's Batavia Campus Financial Aid Office and at the college's five campus centers.

A faculty and staff committee reviews applications and selects recipients for the awards.

Last year, the Genesee Community College Foundation provided funding for 512 scholarships totaling $234,567.
