Birds Eye Player
of the Year Award presented

Birds Eye Foods Vice President Bea Slizewski (left) presented the Birds Eye Player of the Year award for the Monroe County League of Section V to Nikki Torcello of Churchville-Chili in a pre-game ceremony at Frontier Field. The senior hurler was the driving force to help the Saints win their first-ever Section V Class AA girls softball title. She won 13 games while losing eight with 122 strikeouts and a 1.52 ERA. Torcello walked only 12 batters all season long.
