Forger captures top honors
Kayleigh Forger, a seventh grader at Churchville-Chili Jr. High School, captured top honors in the Northeastern Region Goalie War championship (NGWA) Girls Under 12 division hosted at TSE in Rochester. Goalie Wars is a competition where soccer goalkeepers compete against each other in skill contests and fast paced one-on-one competitions. Forger dominated the U12 division by placing first in the punt, throw and kick competition, saved 10 out of 15 machine-thrown "cannon" balls and was undefeated in the one-on-one competitions. Forger is shown with Jay Pepper (left), NGWA staff member, and Jeff Nelson, NGWA executive director.
