Senior Center programs

•Finger Lakes Fall Foliage - a Fall Foliage Trip to the Finger Lakes on Wednesday, October 6 from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. The trip includes a tour, coffee and donuts at Rose Hill Mansion in Geneva, tour and sit down luncheon at the elegant Esperanza Mansion, overlooking Keuka Lake followed by wine tasting at Hunt Country Vineyards in Branchport. There is some walking involved at the Rose Hill Mansion. The price is $40/resident and $50/non-resident (all gratuities included). Registration for this trip has begun for residents. •Broadway Bound at Geva Theater - a trip to Geva Theater to see "Broadway Bound" on Wednesday, September 29 at 12:30 p.m. This show is the final installment in Neil Simon's semi-autobiographical trilogy. The other two were "Brighton Beach Memoirs" and "Biloxi Blues." The cost is $23 and deadline is September 14. For information call 889-6185.

•East Avenue Mansions and Millionaires Tour - a tour of East Avenue, Rochester, homes on Wednesday, September 22 from 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. This is a non-walking bus tour led by Rochester historian Warren Kling. Lunch to follow at Thyme in the Garden Restaurant. The cost is $15. Stop by the center to register.

•Reaching Out for Better Hearing - an opportunity to learn more about hearing loss on Thursday, September 30 from 10 a.m. - noon. Take a hearing questionnaire, learn about assistive devices, talk with people about hearing loss and have your questions answered by an audiologist. This program is offered free of charge. All are welcome.

•Technology presentation - learn about modern technology Thursday, September 23 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Discussion topics will include programming a VCR, digital TV/satellite TV, cellular phones and answering machine/voice mail systems. The program is offered free of charge.

•Silver Chords - Silver Chords, will resume singing on Monday mornings beginning September 13 from 10 to 11 a.m. The group is under the direction of Helen Halligan from the Hochstein School of Music. All singers 55+ are welcome.

•Foot Care - offered on the third Thursday of each month. Half-hour appointments are scheduled from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Call 889-6185 to schedule an appointment. Participants should bring their own basin and towel. The cost is $15. The next appointments are on Thursday, September 16.

•Tai Chi - Tuesdays, September 7 - October 26 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Improve your health and fitness, reduce stress, increase your energy level and develop peace and inner calm. The cost is $45 for eight weeks. For information call 889-6185.

•Line Dancing Class - Thursdays, September 16 - October 21 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. No partner necessary. $12. Stop by the center at 3235 Chili Avenue to register.

•Weight Watchers - Fridays, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. A new session starts September 10. The 16-week session is $159. There is a discount for Preferred Care members. For information call 889-6185.
