Hilton Schools Continuing Education
fall courses classes begin in September
"There are several new courses in the Hilton Continuing Education fall lineup," says Hilton Continuing Education Assistant Ruth Trost. "The fall brochure of courses is mailed to all Hilton School District residents the week of August 30. Among the new offerings are: six new scrapbooking classes, a low-impact fitness course and a basic computer class." Courses begin the week of September 13 with mail-in registration forms available.
According to Trost, there are two changes in the fall program: the Defensive Driving Class will be held on October 16 at the Hilton High School on 400 East Avenue from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. This class is for established drivers and will help save 10 percent on automobile insurance. Cost is $45. Registration and payment may be made at the Hilton District Switchboard, 225 West Avenue, Hilton, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The Continuing Education Walking Program at the Quest/West Avenue Building begins September 13 Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. when school is in session. There is no fee for this program. Walkers may sign up and obtain a walker badge at the District Switchboard at the Quest/West Avenue Building Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
