Programs offered at Sweden Senior Center
Eye-Opener Support Group meets monthly at the Sweden Senior Center. People with various eye-related problems come to share their experiences with the loss of sight and how they are coping.
Thursday, September 16 at 10:30 a.m., Bob Grolling, a social worker for low vision rehabilitation at Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, will meet with the group and talk about his work in serving the sight-impaired community.
A "Writing your Memoirs" class begins Tuesday, September 14 and runs from 1 to 3 p.m. Memories and some guidance are all that is necessary to leave a legacy for generations to come. Roger Walsh offers a one-step-at-a-time approach to memoir writing. Sign up by September 10. Course cost is $20 for six weeks.
A new session of Weight Watchers will begin on Tuesday, September 14 at 9 a.m. Cost is $159 per person. Discounts are offered for some insurance policies.
On Monday, September 27 at 10:30 a.m., a Genealogy class will begin. This five-week course will help both experienced and novice researchers reach their goal. The fee is $20 for the full course, including a local trip and lunch.
