Ranger Football home opener Saturday, September 11

The Spencerport Rangers Varsity Football Team will open their home 2004 season on Saturday, September 11 versus the Hilton Cadets. Kick off is at 2 p.m. This will be the first game to be played at the new high school football field.

There will be a pregame dedication ceremony commemorating the opening of the new field. Recognition will be given to people and organizations that helped make the new football field, scoreboard and buildings possible. The ceremony will begin at 1:45 p.m.

The Rangers, under Coach Anthony Lipani, are looking to win their third Monroe County Divisional championship in the last seven years and return to the sectional playoffs for the fourth time since varsity football was reinstated eight years ago.

All Ranger fans are encouraged to arrive early, wear navy blue and gold and form the traditional Ranger tunnel for the players to walk through to the field prior to kick off. Admission will be $2 per person, students will be admitted for $1 with their school ID card.
