Rob MacClaren, a junior at McQuaid Jesuit High School, competed in the NYS Fencing Championships earning a gold in scholastic foil, gold in scholastic epee and silver in scholastic sabre. He also won gold in the Open Division of men's foil. Earlier this summer, he earned his third Empire State Games medal. MacClaren is coached by Mioara David at the International Fencing Academy in Rochester. He is a nationally and internationally ranked fencer. |
