Hamlin hosting a safety expo
Hamlin Recreation will hold a Safety Expo on Saturday, September 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hamlin Town Hall. The event is free for all ages. Activities include: child safety kits, pet safety and adoptions, fire safety presentations, car seat inspection, fire trucks and ambulances on display, home safety assessment for seniors, smoke detector demonstration, Jaws of Life and a kids tricycle roadway.
There will be a stranger danger demonstration at 12:30 p.m. and a friends and family CPR class 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Other activities on the schedule are: demonstrations of the DEC ATV safety issues, food preparation safety, dietitian presentation on blood pressure, weight loss, exercise and diabetes information.
Food and beverage will be available for purchase by the Hamlin Lions Club.
