B-B welcomes new counselors
Byron-Bergen Elementary school has hired two new counselors. When long-time school counselor Karen D'Aurizio left her position to pursue an administrative career, the district hired Sarah Maciejewski and Teri Henick to work as school counselors.
Henick has been a counselor at Byron-Bergen for several years at the middle school. This year she will be dividing her time between the high school and the elementary school. Henick will be at the elementary school on Mondays and Wednesdays. She will be working with students individually and in small groups as needed. She can be reached at 494-1220, ext. 1294 or ext. 2504.
Maciejewski joins the district from Wyoming County Mental Health where she was a school-based counselor. Maciejewski brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and background to the school. She will be in the school Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays meeting the needs of students in the classroom, individually and small groups. Maciejewski will facilitate the IST team and character education programs.
