Blue Devils in second
Brockport defeated Spencerport 6-1 in girl's tennis to improve to 3-1 on the season - good for second place behind the Fairport Red Raiders.
The Blue Devils tooks all four singles matches. First singles Kara Hage lost her first set to Megan Hannigan 3-6 before rebounding with 6-2, 6-2 wins. Senior Lauren Frey won at second singles in straight sets 6-4, 6-3 as did freshman Calder Mills-Lexvold 6-1, 6-0 at third singles and junior Jenn Garrison 7-5, 7-5 at fourth singles.
Seniors Kim Eichas and Caitlin Myers lost their first set to Spencerport's Julie Yanklowski and Krysta Ferraro 4-6 before coming back strong to take their first doubles match 6-1, 6-2. Jennie Trenton and Katherine Ludington won at third singles in straight sets 6-0, 6-3.
The only match win for the Rangers was at second doubles with seniors Lauren Parkhurst and Stephanie Waliba winning 7-5, 6-4 as Spencerport lost their first match and fell to 3-1.
