Brockport church welcomes new pastor
The congregation of the First Presbyterian Church in Brockport welcomes a new minister, the Reverend Aaron Doll and his wife, Rachel. The new pastor comes to Brockport from Third Presbyterian Church in Rochester, where he was an associate pastor for Christian Nuture.
Rev. Doll originally comes from West Seneca, New York. He has a bachelor of arts degree in human services and psychology with a concentration in early childhood studies from SUNY Buffalo. Following college, he served a year as a volunteer in mission for the First Presbyterian Church of Skagway, Alaska where he directed youth and young adult ministry. His master of divinity degree was completed at Louisville Presbyterian Seminary in 1998. While in Louisville, Rev. Doll also worked as a student intern with the Presbyterian Church Mission recruitment office and following seminary as a volunteer mission teams organizer with the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance.
Presently the new pastor commutes from Irondequoit, where he and Rachel live with their two dogs. They have hopes of moving to the west side of Rochester soon.
