Nightmare Manor Haunted House
to benefit The Dream Factory of Rochester

Pied Piper Entertainment will be creating a Halloween event to benefit The Dream Factory, a volunteer organization that fulfills the dreams of critically and chronically ill children in the Rochester community. Currently in their fifth year, The Dream Factory is working to fulfill the dreams of 12 seriously ill children. In the coming months, several children will be traveling to Disney World, two will be enjoying Disney Cruises, and the final arrangements are being made for two children who are hoping to meet President Bush.

For each of the last three years, Nightmare Manor has introduced people to The Dream Factory, but also has raised funds to fulfill a seriously ill child's dream. By working with The Dream Factory, the Nightmare Manor becomes more than a simple Haunted House, the goal is to create an exciting, professional, enjoyable Halloween activity that in the end accomplishes more than a simple scare. Thanks to this event, in 2002, a boy from Hilton with cerebral palsy was able to meet his favorite professional wrestler. Last year, a young girl from Marion who lives with a genetic skin disorder received a soothing hot tub. This year it could be Jenna's cruise, Nicole's trip to Disney World, or Abijah's lap top computer. Each of these children and many others are waiting for their dreams to come true.

Troy Driver of Pied Piper Entertainment will construct a nearly 4,000 sq. ft. Haunted House inside the Rochester Sports Dome at 4618 Ridge Road West. Complete with every room in a typical house and a few uninvited guests, the Nightmare Manor will be filled with live actors and will be open weekends in October (Thursday through Sunday).
