BROCKPORT

Thayer, John F. "Jack," On September 28, 2004 at the age of 87. He is predeceased by his parents, Elmer J. and Catherine Murphy Thayer; brother, Robert Thayer; brother-in-law, George E. Markham. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Florence Markham Thayer; his children, Mollie (Michael) Schuff of Brockport, Susan (James) Hughes of Rochester, Richard J. (Sarah) of Schuylerville and Mark G. (Sandra) of Apalachin, New York; grandchildren, Kristin and Brent Thayer of Apalachin, and Matthew Schuff of Troy, Michigan, Bryan Schuff of Brockport; sisters, Catherine Thayer, Mary Rice and Margaret (George) Foster all of Brockport; sister-in-law, Beverly Thayer of Holley; brother-in-law, Harold (Judy) Markham of Spencer-port; several nieces, nephews, cousins and long-time and special friends in New Jersey, South Carolina and Las Vegas. Jack was a life-member of Disabled American Veterans from WWII, V.F.W. Post 943, American Legion 1120.

A Memorial Mass was said October 1 at Church of the Nativity BVM, Brockport. Contributions can be made to Home Care, 508 White Spruce Boulevard, Rochester 14623 or Martha's Ministry, c/o Church of the Nativity, 156 Main Street, Brockport, NY 14420 in his memory.


CHURCHVILLE

Francis, James B., September 30, 2004. Predeceased by his father, James Francis and son, James B. Francis Jr. He is survived by his mother, Mary Inez Francis; wife, Janice Francis; son, David (Elizabeth) Francis; daughter, Karin (Jeff) Wohlgemuth; and other relatives. He was a retired Science teacher from Greece Olympia High School. Jim was a true servant, an active member of Pearce Memorial Church and Boy Scouts of America.

A Memorial Service was held October 4 at Pearce Memorial Church, North Chili. Memorial contributions can be made to Pearce Memorial Church, Boy Scouts of America or the Houghton College STEP Program.


HOLLEY

Quaranto, Jane M., Age 93, died October 4, 2004. Predeceased by husband, Joseph R. Survived by sons, Nick (Karen), Joe (Karen); several brothers and sisters; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter.

A Mass of Christian Burial was said October 7 at St. Mary's Church, Holley. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association or Holley Ambulance Fund.


KENDALL

•Caffery, Brian A., Age 66, died September 28, 2004. He is survived by his wife Marilyn; children, Sheri McIlvene, Dane Caffery, Wade (Kathy) Caffery; four granddaughters; brothers, Philip (Ann), Dale (Donna) McCaffery; sisters, Arlene (Fay) Hovey, Gail Caffery Donaldson, Sharon (Bob) Jaroszek; three stepsisters, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Service was held October 3 at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home, Inc., Holley. Donations can be made to Kendall Ambulance or American Cancer Society in his memory.


•Rowley, Arthur J., Suddenly, October 1, 2004, age 76. He was predeceased by his son, John F. Rowley. He is sur-vived by his wife of 48 years, Jocelyn (Garlock) Rowley; his sons, James G. (Lisa), Fletcher (Jennifer) and Nathaniel (Frances) Rowley; his grandchildren, Laura, Daniel, Christopher, Ronald, Cooper and Dayton Rowley, Sean and Colleen Coyle; many nieces, nephews and friends. He retired in 1990 from Kendall Central School after 35 years as teacher and High School librarian. He served for many years as clerk of Kendall Zoning Board; also served on the Boards of Cobblestone Society and Child Welfare Association of Orleans County. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflicts; a longtime member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Brockport.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Luke's Church at a time to be announced. Private interment, Lake View Cemetery. Contributions can be made to St. Luke's Memorial Fund or the Cobblestone Society in his memory.
