Bishop Kearney opens theatre classes

Starting October 12 Bishop Kearney will open a classroom to students in grades seven to 12 from any local school. The class, called Kurtain Call, will be an intense exploration into the art of musical theatre.

Cara D'Emanuele, a professional voice and acting coach, will be the instructor. D'Emanuele's credits include professional stage and screen experience with national film, television and commercial projects for NBC, HBO and The Discovery Channel.

Students can sign up for the year (30 classes) or for a block of 10 classes. The cost is $25 per class. The group will meet Tuesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Bishop Kearney High School. For questions, or to register, call 585-342-4000 ext. 200.
