Blue Devils lose to Mendon

Brockport had the better of the scoring chances early, but undefeated Pittsford-Mendon came back to convert their chances for a 4-0 victory in boys soccer.

In the sixth minute of the game, the Blue Devils Matt Newsome fed a corner kick to Brett Allen who headed it off the crossbar. Five minutes later, Quintin Rogers found Geoff Smith in the box, but his header went wide. Brockport again threatened in the 17th minute, but Allen's shot sailed over the Mendon net.

Mendon converted their first corner kick of the game in the 28th minute when Peter Hill scored and made it 3-0 before the first half was over on goals by James Beyer and Jeff Moretti. Moretti scored again in the 55th minute for the final tally of the game.

Mendon improved to 7-0-1 with the win while Brockport fell to 4-9-1.
