Chili Senior Center programs
Stretch and Strengthen - Tuesday afternoons from 1 to 2 p.m. (except the first Tuesday of month from 3 to 4 p.m.) The class is instructed by Agape Physical Therapy and there is no charge to participate. Call 889-6185 for information.
Pace Exercise Class - Wednesdays from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. The class offers easy exercises for men and women with arthritis or limited range of motion. Most exercises are done sitting in a chair. The class is instructed by the Arthritis Foundation. The cost is $12 for six week pass (or $10 with Preferred Care or Blue Choice). For information contact the center at 889-6185.
"The Producers" - a trip to the Auditorium Theater on Wednesday, December 15. The bus leaves the parking lot at 6:15 p.m. and returns following the show. The cost is $45. Deadline to register is November 12. Seniors age 55 and over are welcome.
George Eastman House - a trip to the George Eastman House on Tuesday, November 23 from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. The trip includes a tour of the house as well as the new exhibit "The Remarkable George Eastman: Vision and Obsession" which includes never before seen artifacts of the notable millionaire. "Sweet Creations" with over 60 gingerbread houses will also be on display. The cost is $8. To register, stop by the senior center at 3235 Chili Avenue.
Tai Chi offered Tuesdays, November 9 to January 4 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Improve health and fitness, reduce stress, increase energy level and develop peace and inner calm. The cost is $45 for 8 weeks. For information call 889-6185.
First Step to Computers - a very basic class for those who have never worked on a computer but want to know more about using them. The class will cover how to turn the machine on and off, how to use the "mouse," explain what the desktop is and other very basic functions. Class limited to four. Each participant will have access to his or her own computer during the class. The class will be held on Tuesday, November 23 and 30 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. There is no charge but registration is required by calling 889-6185.
