Student musicians perform with RPYO

RPYO Music Director David Harman will lead the Rochester Philharmonic Youth Orchestra in its opening concert of the 2004-2005 season on Sunday, November 21, at 7:30 p.m. in the Performance Hall of the Hochstein School of Music and Dance.

Katherine Ludington and Michael Sparhuber of Brockport High School and Michael Sabatka and Aaron Shewan of Churchville will be among the local youth performing with the RPYO.

The RPYO will perform on this Best of Britain concert favorite works by British composers Elgar, Britten and Holst. Joining the RPYO on the stage of the Hochstein School's Performance Hall as Narrator for the Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra will be WXXI classical radio host Julia Figueras.

General Admission tickets to the concert are $8 and $5 for students and senior citizens. Season tickets and group rate tickets are also available.
