Chili Senior Center programs
Stretch and Strengthen - Tuesday afternoons from 1 to 2 p.m. (except the first Tuesday of the month from 3 to 4 p.m.) The class is instructed by Agape Physical Therapy and there is no charge to participate. Call 889-6185 for information.
PACE Exercise Class - Wednesdays from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. The class offers easy exercises for men and women with arthritis or limited range of motion. Most exercises are done sitting in a chair. The class is instructed by the Arthritis Foundation. The cost is $12 for six week pass (or $10 with Preferred Care or Blue Choice). For information, contact the center at 889-6185.
George Eastman House trip - Tuesday, November 23 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The trip includes a tour of the house as well as the new exhibit "The Remarkable George Eastman: Vision and Obsession" which includes never before seen artifacts of this notable millionaire. "Sweet Creations" with over 60 gingerbread houses will also be on display. The cost is $8. To register, stop by the senior center at 3235 Chili Avenue.
Lights of Love - to honor deceased loved ones and to celebrate special events, The Lights of Love will illuminate trees on the senior center lawn throughout the holiday season. Each bulb on the tree will represent loved ones. Purchase a light bulb in memory of relatives and friends who have passed away, as an acknowledgment of special occasions (anniversaries, birthdays) or just a kind, "thinking of you" gesture for someone special. $5 donation per light bulb. Each honoree's name will be inscribed in the "Lights of Love" book which will be kept at the Chili Senior Center. To purchase a bulb stop by the center at 3235 Chili Avenue or call 889-6185. The deadline is December 1.
Tree Lighting Ceremony - Wednesday, December 8 at 7 p.m. The program will include Tree Lighting Ceremony, caroling, entertainment and refreshments. Everyone is welcome. For information, contact the senior center at 889-6185.
