Troop 53 Scouts earn commendations

Chili Boy Scout Troop 53 held a Court of Honor on October 4 to present awards and commendations. Erik Strassner advanced to Star Scout; Drew Belfield advanced to Second Class Scout and Steve Cardilicchia and Matt Stubler advanced to Tenderfoot.

Forty-six Merit Badges were awarded. Chris Burant earned archery, environmental science and wood carving; Charles Belfield earned citizenship in the community, environmental science and fingerprinting; Peter Abee earned environmental science, fishing, forestry, Indian lore, nature and soil and water conservation; Jerry Cardilicchia earned environmental science, lifesaving and wilderness survival; Chris Collins earned environmental science, fishing, forestry, Indian lore and soil and water conservation; Cory Duell earned environmental science and fish and wildlife management; Erik Strassner earned environmental science, forestry, Indian lore, and wilderness survival; Charles Winn earned environmental science, lifesaving and wilderness survival; Steven Cardilicchia earned first aid, reptiles and amphibians, rifle shooting and space exploration; Jeff Cullen earned first aid, reptiles and amphibians, space exploration; Joe Rozzo earned first aid, rifle shooting and space exploration; Matt Stubler earned first aid, reptiles and amphibians and space exploration; Drew Belfield earned Indian lore and wood carving; Adam Currier earned Indian lore and wood carving.

Two special achievements were awarded to: Paul Wolski, who earned the Silver Eagle Palm for continuing to earn merit badges beyond achieving and rank of Eagle and Cory Duell earned BSA Snorkeling.

Michael Pehta achieved the Rank of Eagle Scout.
