Christ Community Church School wins Western NY soccer championship
Christ Community Church School has won the Western NY Chrisitan Athletic Association (WNYCAA) Soccer Championships for the second year in a row. The team with 18 members in 5th through 8th grades had a record of 11 wins and 0 losses. Total goals made for the season were 49 and 3 goals were allowed. The league consists of 10 schools in three counties. The motto for the team this year was "Character Counts." Coaching the team was Bob Barton, assisted by Michael Warren and Patsy Reinagel, all of Spencerport. Special recognition was given to these players, all of Brockport: Most Valuable Offensive Player - Even LaRock, forward; Most Valuable Defensive Player - David Johnson, goalie; Most Improved Player - Mallory Haynes, stopper; Most Valuable Player - Christian Zale, forward; The Christian Character Award - Emma Rounseville, forward.
