Remembering those who served
On Tuesday, December 7, the American Legion Post 788 and VFW 6505 members held a special Pearl Harbor Remembrance ceremony at the newly renovated Town Hall Veteran's Memorial. Also attending the remembrance ceremony were: Parma Supervisor Rick Lemcke, Town Board member Ken Blackburn, Recreation and Parks Commissioner Tom Ganley and Hilton Village Board member Joe Lee. Special guest, Dawn Nedden from the Monroe County Department of Planning and Development, spoke on how honored Monroe County was to assist with funding the renovation of such an inspirational memorial. Honor Guard Chaplain Dave Goodwin offered the invocation; and following a rifle salute, Ray Boddy played taps.
