Chris Russell takes three firsts

Spencerport's Chris Russell took first place in the 100-yard freestyle, the diving competition and was part of the winning 200-yard medley relay team as the Rangers lost a 93-90 decision in boy's swimming.

Russell, Adam Ziobroski, Scott Competore and Vince Lossowski won the medley relay in 1:54.13 while Russell took 126.15 points in diving and finished in :54.73 in the 100-yard freestyle.

Ziobroski was the lead in a sweep for the Rangers in the 100-yard breastroke with Competore and John Stoffel to pull the Rangers to within one point of the lead. Ziobroski won the event in 1:13.59 with both other place swimmers within a tenth of a second from each other. Ziobroski also was second in the 200-yard individual medley. Matt Merritt had two second place finishes - in the 200-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle.
